Welcome to Alberta Lavender Farm!

Hello fellow lavender enthusiasts! My name is Véronique, but you can also call me Veronica. In 2020, like many of us, I had to keep myself occupied during the pandemic shutdowns so I dug out one acre of our land and planted a test patch of approximately 1800 lavender plants. The following spring of 2021 all but one plant had overwintered successfully, and so was born Alberta Lavender Farm.

My husband and I moved to Red Deer in 2014 and we have been calling Alberta home since the early 2000’s. We are grateful for the communities that have welcomed us here in Alberta. My hope is to contribute to our local community by providing quality self care products made with luxurious botanical ingredients grown here in Alberta.

Lavender farming has been a long time dream of mine - a dream inspired by the beautiful lavender farms of British Columbia that I discover while working in the Okanagan farming industry one summer many moons ago. Originally from Québec, I remember very well the long cold winters back home. This got me thinking that if some of the most successful lavender farms in Canada were able to thrive despite the harsh winters in Québec there had to be a way to successfully grow lavender here in Alberta. Fingers crossed, we took a chance and it worked!

We are currently focusing our efforts on expanding the farm and on developing a product line entirely made with lavender, herbs and botanicals grown here on our farm. We are also hoping to be open to the public within the next 2 to 3 years. In the meantime, you can find Alberta Lavender Farm and our sister company Bloom & Basil on instagram, facebook and at various local markets.

Thank you for your interest,

Veronica
